The Reloved Retreat

RESIDENTIAL FURNITURE UPCYCLING IN THE COTSWOLDS

Book a residential workshop and stay at The Reloved Retreat with me, Reloved by Jo, for an immersive experience of upcycling furniture, vintage treasure hunting and the calm and charm of the Cotswolds Lakes.

Step into my world of furniture upcycling for a few days, to live and create alongside me. Come to my home by the lake, full of upcycled inspiration, where the air feels fresh, the walks are scenic, and the villages are full of charm. It is a magical place to be.

Bring a piece of furniture with you that’s waiting for a second chance—or buy a preloved item from my preloved collection—and I’ll guide you through the transformation process in my workshop.
We’ll explore local vintage shops, maybe even auctions and antique markets if the timing’s right—hunting for those one-of-a-kind finds that make your heart skip a beat. And when the day winds down, the evenings will be yours to do as you wish—whether you fancy a quiet night by the lake or a delicious meal at one of the area’s many inviting eateries.

As each residential is tailored to the person/s booking requirements, please complete the application form for a cost. Generally, the charge for bed and breakfast, a morning workshop and lunch will be around £200 per person. Please note, the Reloved Retreat is not a hotel or Airbnb, it is a home and you will be treated as a guest in my home.

I’d love to share this slice of life with you—the creativity, the calm, the adventure of discovery. Come and experience the magic of The Reloved Retreat in the Cotswolds for yourself.

The Reloved Retreat is full of upcycled furniture and interior inspiration.

The Benefits

A TRULY IMMERSIVE, CREATIVE & RELAXING RETREAT

This creative experience is perfect for people who have an interest in interiors and upcycling furniture, looking to learn a skill, unwind, and experience the beautiful Cotswold area.

CREATIVITY

I will teach you all the upcycling skills you need, from prep to painting and various finishes, so that you leave with the confidence and inspiration to upcycle furniture at home, on your own. We'll get started on the piece you bring with you and may even finish depending on the size and complexity.

HOSPITALITY

You will be staying as a guest in my home, a lodge on Isis Lake in the Cotswolds. With a blend of upcycled furniture complimented by a few newer pieces, it will give you an insight as to what a modern day, upcycled home can look like, you may even want to buy a piece should you fall in love with it when you stay.

LOCAL EXPLORATION

Located in the heart of the Cotswolds, well known for its quintessential villages, you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to choosing what to do. We can visit vintage warehouses, go antique hunting, and possibly (if the timing is right) visit the local auction houses as a group, or on your own if you prefer. Being surrounded by numerous lakes and walks, you can fresh water swim, kayak, sail and paddle-board, wander around the beautiful market town of Cirencester or, for the serious shoppers, the spa town of Cheltenham, know as little London) is a short drive. Do as much or as little as you desire.

CALM

Being surrounded by water evokes a sense of calm. If you prefer to chill and take it easy you can. I can also organise some spa treatments nearby or in the Retreat depending on availability.
