Moving home is regarded as one of the most stressful things you can do, so moving my whole business was a challenge, to say the least, but really worth it. I’ve now moved into The Tractor Shed in Benter, Somerset. I have so much space in which to work and showcase my projects, and a beautiful setting in which to do it.
In my first week…
I’ve unpacked most things and started to organise my new space as you can see…
I’ve been restyling and painting a few, much-loved pieces, sourcing new displays, meeting my new neighbours and chatting to interested passers-by.
I have plans to make this amazing space my own, in time, and I’m enjoying playing with a few design ideas.
I’ve already been able to enjoy the benefits of not being tied to retail and last week (as well as working) I managed to go shopping for furniture, lunch with friends and visit the Frome market, something I’ve been wanting to do for a while and would recommend! So I’d say, I’m starting to settle in quite nicely.
Exciting News!
Fusion have launched their new colours for 2022! I’m so excited and inspired and can’t wait for them to arrive! For me, opening up a new colour chart is the equivalent of opening a new box of chocolates! Very sad I know. I’ve added all nine new colours to my website, and I’ll be introducing them individually on Facebook and Instagram. I’m already thinking ahead and collecting and preparing pieces for each colour, you may want to do the same. The new paint colours should be with me mid-late September so if you’d also like to get organised and order in advance you can message with your pre-order.
Makeover of the Month
This beautiful sideboard has been with me for a while. Although it has been admired by many, most didn’t have the space for it. It sold this week to a lovely customer who fell in love with it but wanted it painted an ‘off-white’. More of a repaint rather than a restyle, she chose Fusion’s Victorian Lace. For those of you who know me, you’ll know I don’t like painting anything white! 😊 However, it does look lovely and will sit pretty in its future home.
Preloved - Latest Finds
I’m looking forward to having more time to shop for fab furniture finds. This month, I couldn’t walk passed this bench without buying it, and the cabinet is a really useful size and will look great once restyled. Details of each will be on the website soon. You can buy them as they are or I can restyle and paint them to your specification.
